Information Collection
CID Couriers does not collect any information through our website except when you request a price quote. We collect only the information you submit and your IP address, no other information is collected.
We collect this information through the online quotation form. To receive our products and services, a minimum of your contact details, departure and destination points are mandatory because we need this information to be able to reply with your quote. Other information we request is optional.
Cookies
We do not employ cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user's computer hard drive to be a unique identifier.
Advertising and external links
Banner advertising appearing on our website may collect information, we have no control over third party sites or advertising, please visit the appropriate website for their privacy policies.

Information Usage
The information collected by CID Couriers will be used for calculating your personalised job quote. Users who provide the required information will receive the information requested, by email.
Users will not receive additional announcements from us about products, services, special deals, or newsletters out of respect for the privacy of our users.
The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history. We will not supplement information collected at our website with data from other sources.
Data sharing
We will not share data with any third parties, excluding any valid court orders, or law enforcement bodies that may request the data under powers granted to such agencies by applicable laws.
If our policy on information collection or uses changes, we will advise you either by email or by ammending the privacy policy published on this website as soon as practically possible.
Data Storage and Security
CID Couriers stores a copy of your quote for a period of seven days, this may be either hard copy or in the form of a computer file. This data is destroyed after a period of seven days has elapsed, in the case of hard copy it is shredded, computer files are securely erased.
Once a job has been accepted CID Couriers will produce either a receipt (for private users) or an invoice (for business users) of which a copy will be retained for our records for our accounting procedures.
Access To Data
To obtain access to personal information held about you, you must send a written request - known as a subject access request (SAR). The SAR doesn't have to refer to the Data Protection Act but you should make it clear that it is a formal request and not just an everyday enquiry. A fee of £10.00 is payable and should be sent with the request, if the fee is not included the request will be destroyed.
When requesting information you will need to provide proof of identity in the form of an official document, such as a council tax bill, you will also be required to send a stamped self addressed envelope in which we can return the requested information and your proof of identity.

If problems arise, users may contact CID Couriers by email or telephone. We are committed to resolving disputes within seven working days.
